9th annual festival of dance, movement and new circus
Bring inspiration into your life with the 9th MOVE Fest! Some of this year's festival locations will meet dance for the very first time. If this is your case, don't worry, you don't have to understand dance, you just perceive it.
INSPIRATION FOR CHANGE, FOR THE FIRST STEP
This year, MOVE Fest will begin in the non-traditional chamber adaptation of the Theater Hall of the House of Culture of the City of Ostrava with a statement about the fight against the ubiquitous pressure in the production of Adrena Axis. It will remind you that you need to laugh even in times of stress, and that changing the current status quo is always possible.
INSPIRATION DO NOT BE AFRAID
the second day of the festival will be dominated by the international work Kobro_Spaces, which was created by connecting four choreographers and four different creative approaches. This is all inspired by the Polish avant-garde artist Katarzyna Kobro, a pioneer in the field of European fine arts. In a non-traditional space that art suits but often does not meet.
INSPIRATION FOR A DIFFERENT VIEW OF THINGS
On Thursday, the festival will be marked by #collaboration with the multi-genre happening Podchod. We are proud to join this site-specific band of performances, music, dance, projections and installations, which we will supplement with the urban workshop Collective Mapping.
INSPIRATION BY LIFE
The star of Friday night will come to Dům kultury Poklad from as far away as Scandinavia and take you to a small Norwegian attic. Inspired by everyday fights for life and death and Rembrandt's chiaroscuro, the magical performance of The Loft was performed by Jo Strømgren Kompani who directed Mahler memories ballet in Moravia-Silesian theatre.
MOTION INSPIRATION
On Saturday morning, the unforgettable Johnny Minárik will give you the opportunity to take part in the Movement fusion workshop - an original combination of parkour, dance and acrobatics in the fresh air at Komenského sady.
INSPIRATION TO BE YOURSELF
On the last day of the festival, in Komorní scéna aréna Voyerky will be looking for an answer to today's burning question "Are all women mothers?" The truth will help them find an unspecified number of their own and borrowed children on the scene. Because there are never enough children. But what if you feel it different way?
INSPIRATION BY SUFFERING
At the end of the festival, you will be hungry, or feel a Hunger, in the House of Culture of the City of Ostrava. Multi-genre movement theater with breathtaking new circus elements based on the book by the Norwegian writer Knut Hamsun.
