RADIOMATON

MARIE BÉLAND, SIMON LAROCHE

tuesday 24. - saturday 28. 9.
10:00 - 18:00

Faculty of Arts, University of Ostrava

Installation accessible for free

Create your own truth for free in the booth of the Canadian project RADIOMATON. It arrives at MOVE Fest as part of its first European tour, coming straight from the renowned Edinburgh Fringe Festival!

You can find this seemingly harmless "photo booth" from the afternoon of Tuesday, September 24 until Saturday, September 28 in the foyer of the newly built Faculty of Arts building at the University of Ostrava's CITY CAMPUS on Černá Louka, open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Every 5 minutes, an interactive art installation begins inside the booth, revealing the truth about life in a world of disinformation and manipulation.

Step inside, make yourself comfortable, listen, repeat the words, imitate the gestures displayed on the screen, and let RADIOMATON blend your movements and words with those of your predecessors into a fascinating kaleidoscope of meanings. This sensory and immersive experience from RADIOMATON painlessly questions the construction of truth, opening discussions about media contamination, fake news, and the role of the body in perceiving information. Experience its power firsthand.

Letiing go lies is finding the truth.
