THE NUTCRACKER - VEGETABLE BALLET
KOLEKTIV BORSHCH
Experience Tchaikovsky's (and) "The Nutcracker" like never before! In the leading roles, you'll meet the unique garlic, the talented ginger, the seasoned dance veteran celery, the young and promising carrot, and of course, the audience's favorite, the pattypan squash!
All of these characters will come to life under the hands of Darija Gostevy and Anastázie Dobrodinská, graduates of the world’s oldest puppetry department, which focuses on exploring the essence of theater and de-hierarchizing traditional theater professions. The result is a unique miniature theater performance that will reveal a new dimension of the classic and the magic of unconventional puppetry to both young and old audiences.
Come see how vegetables transform into art and ballet into entertainment. Experience the fragility and beauty of working with puppets, the charming music of P. I. Tchaikovsky, and a theatrical and movement performance full of vitamins.
The performance is suitable for children from 4 years old and anyone older :)

Letting go of traditions
Daria Gosteva and Anastázie Dobrodinská (Borshch group) met at KALD DAMU. Anastázie (ŘIP, Holky můžu poprosit) is dedicated to acting and dance, while Daria (Dinopera, Moskva-Dačnoje, Težké divadlo) focuses on scenography and direction. *The Vegetable Ballet* is another step in exploring traditional theater forms and the possibilities of puppetry, which Daria is passionate about, while Anastázie, as a ballerina, is very familiar with all the numbers in *The Nutcracker*. She has danced the performance herself and carefully explored the potential of vegetable dancers to create a unique choreography. *The Vegetable Ballet* is their first collaboration.
