Divadlo loutek Ostrava
In this iconic production, you will discover that at the heart of every goal sprint and dance pirouette, the same energy beats, the same dynamics of body and spirit resonate.
Ostrava audiences know Jo Strømgren well, whether from the performances of his works at the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre or from past MOVE Fest events. This year we will return with him for a performance that proves that football and ballet share a common rhythm, strength and joy of movement. Since its premiere in 1997, this cheeky and playful tribute to football and dance has traveled to dozens of countries and captivated audiences of all generations. Come to celebrate the physical joy of movement, humor and aesthetics of sport, and at the same time a fitting kick to the prejudices between "ordinary" football and "sublime" ballet.
A Dance Tribute to the Art of Football breaks down boundaries, resonates with the audience and plays out a game where the joy (and not only) of movement wins.
